Conference Facilities

Registering for the conference
If you didn’t register in advance, you can still register either for tutorial sessions, the technical program or a one-day exhibits pass. Each person attending a conference activity must have a personal registration badge for that event or session. The conference registration desk is located near Lobby A at the north end of the Phoenix Civic Plaza Convention Center.

Hours for the registration desk and conference store are:
Saturday, Nov. 15: 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Sunday, Nov. 16: 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Monday, Nov. 17: 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Tuesday, Nov. 18: 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Wednesday, Nov. 19: 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Thursday, Nov. 20: 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Friday, Nov. 21: 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Email Access
In addition to the wireless network installed in the Convention Center by the SCinet team, conference attendees may access their email in the Email Room, which is sponsored by Sun Microsystems. The Email Room is in Room 5, just off Lobby A of the Convention Center. Email Room hours are:
Sunday, Nov. 16: Noon to 6 p.m.
Monday, Nov. 17: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Tuesday, Nov. 18: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Wednesday, Nov. 19: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Thursday, Nov. 20: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Friday, Nov. 21: 8 a.m. to Noon

Parking in the Phoenix Civic Plaza area
There are a number of parking garages in the convention center area. View the map showing entrances to parking garages.

First Aid and Emergency Help
In the Convention Center, First Aid stations are located in Hall B and in Hall E. For other emergencies in the Convention Center, please contact one of the Guardsmark security officers on duty in the facility.

Media Assistance
The SC2003 Media Room will be located in Room 15, just off Lobby One in the Phoenix Civic Plaza Convention Center. All media representatives are asked to check in at the Media Room upon arrival to have your credentials verified for registration. Downtown Phoenix Information
The 90-block downtown area of Phoenix is known as Copper Square. To help visitors find their way around the area, the Downtown Phoenix Partnership provides 22 Copper Square Ambassadors (CSAs).On duty seven days a week, 365 days a year, CSAs are happy to provide directions or recommendations, answer questions, or walk you to your destination – anything to help make your experience in Copper Square more pleasant and memorable! Copper Square Ambassadors are easy to recognize in their black and khaki uniforms with the Copper Square logo and can be seen on bike or foot throughout the 90-square-block area.
