SPEC's High Performance Group (HPG) focus is on benchmarking large high performance computers using complex applications and realistic application level benchmark suites. SPEC OMPM2001 and OMPL2001, the OpenMP benchmark suites, and the SPEC HPC2002 benchmark suite are HPG's current projects. SPEC/HPG is looking for feedback on how these benchmarks are used in industry and research and what can be done to improve them. SPEC/HPG encourages participation in benchmark creation from institutions and companies who benefit from the evaluation of sustained high performance computing systems and will use this BOF session as a means to broaden participation.
